Welcome to Nalanda Medical College, Patna Patna

In the year 1970 Nalanda Medical College was established by Dr. Vijay Narayain Singh,(MS. F.R.C.S) Dr. Madhusudan Das (MR Ch) & Dr. Shailendra Kumar Sinha ,(MS. F.R.C.S) along with Shri Krishna Kant Singh, the ex education minister of Bihar, with an idea to produce bright & young doctors to serve the suffering humanity. The classes started from 2nd April 1970 under the principalship of Dr. Shailendra Kumar Sinha ,(MS. F.R.C.S) In the beginning 150 students were taking admission. In the year 1978 it was taken over by Govt. of Bihar and was recognized by Medical Council of India. The Student intake was reduced to 50 and were selected by various state and central govt. competitive examination In the journey of four decades, the College as well as Hospital has developed immense potential and Doctors from NMCH are serving not only in India but abroad as well.

The College is situated on Kankarbagh old Bye pass road. The department of anatomy, phisiology, Biochemestry , Microbiology , PSM ,FMT & Pharmacology are situated here.

Nalanda Medical College has 3 Hostels. 2 hostels are for boys and 1 hostel is for girls. These hostels have adequate capacity, as well as facilities like mesh and proper security is also available.
