Welcome to Baldev Sahu College, Lohardaga Lohardaga

The Baldeo Sahu Mahavidyalya or the BS College was established on 15 August, 1962 to coincide with the 16th Anniversary of our Independence Day. It got affiliated with the Ranchi University on 23th April, 1963. On 26 April, 1968 the College was granted permanent affiliation from Ranchi University. Subsequently, it got affiliation to teach Honours courses in Economics, History, Sanskrit and Urdu from the session of 1969-70. The following session, the College was opened for teaching in faculty of Sciences. The honours courses in Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Zoology have been started here in the year 2009.

Initially, the College used to have about 200 students rolled in it, now we have five thousand plus Degree students with us. Thus the progress has been phenomenal!
