DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology, Medininagar (Jharkhand) got established in year 2008 under the aegis of DAV College Managing Committee under the joint venture with Government of Jharkhand. The Institute is approved by AICTE and Affiliated to Nilamber-Pitamber University, Medininagar, Palamau (Jharkhand). This is the first degree level Engineering institute started by the DAV College Trust and Management Society,New Delhi in Jharkhand. The DAV College Trust and Management Society is the largest non-government educational organization in India managing a chain of 700 institutions in India and abroad. DAVIET is carrying out original research of significance and technology development at the cutting edge. It imparts educational curriculum & training to students to make them competent, motivated engineers and scientist. DAVIET Initiatives

Various initiatives are taken to enhance the academic environment in this Institute

DAVIET campus is Wi-Max enabled.
E-class room have been constructed which are provide with LCD projectors, visualize, and electromagnetic digital board to make Lectures more informative and interesting.
There is a system of continuous evaluation through tests, tutorials, seminars, quizzes and viva.
Displaying the attendance at the end of each month and the marks obtained in each term tests on notice boards to ensure complete transparency in academic system.
Sending of attendance –cum-performance report to the parents for their information and to seek their support for improving the performance especially in the cases of academically poor students.
Periodic counseling of academically poor students to identify the weaknesses and suggesting remedial measures for their improvement.
In each academic session an academic audit is conducted to find out the strengths and shortcomings of each department. All efforts are then made to eliminate the traced shortcomings.
Student feedback survey at the end of each session to identify the strength and weakness of the faculty for further improvement.
