Welcome to Central Tasar Research and Training Institute Ranchi

Central Tasar Research and Training Institute, referred to as CTR & TI, Ranchi was established in 1964 under the aegis of Central Silk Board (http://csb.gov.in) to conduct R & D to cater to the needs of Tasar silk Industry (both tropical and temperate), a tribal based rural enterprise in the country. With its network of eight Regional stations (RTRS), eleven Extension Centres (REC), one Oak tasar grainage at Imphal the Institute provides the state-of-the-art technological know-how to the command states, both under tropical and temperate tasar sector.
