B.S.K. College, Barharwa, established in 1978, has emerged recently a prominent
institution for sound academic atmosphere & discipline. It is the lone college
between the districts of Sahibganj & Pakur where education in 21 subjects
of the faculties of Arts, Science & Commerce is imparted up to Hons. levels.
The college is situated in the damin-e- koh socially & economically backward area having no
known institute & industry. Thus its role in imparting education. rising awareness
& enabling the youth of the area to inculcate their personality & play a vital role in making of India.
The college having enrolled strength of about four thousand, has
produced a large number of scholars in the different disciplines.
It's now a well known fact that the traditional studies alone can not create
opportunity of employment in plenty specially global and technical world. So there
is a demand for the study of vocational courses.
