Welcome to Pakur B.Ed. College Pakur

Shakuntala Foundation was established in the name of Late Shakuntala Devi, wife of Late Phuldeo Prasad Sinha. Both husband and wife served as District Educational Officers in the Bihar Cadre. Their dedication towards education was carried forward by the Trustees Arunendra Kumar and Bimlendra Kumar, with the sole aim of extension of educational facilities in an educationally backward district like Pakur, a predominantly tribal area. The first initiative of Shakuntala Foundation was the Delhi Public School, Pakur, which was warmly welcomed by the people of Pakur.

Recognized by the Jharkhand Govt., it has been affiliated to the C.B.S.E., New Delhi. Pakur B.Ed. College, Pakur, was the second initiative of Shakuntala Foundation. It has also been recognized by the Jharkhand Govt. and is affiliated to the Sido Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka. People of Pakur and nearby districts have also warmly welcomed this as the the students of these districts were waiting for such an institution with state of the art facilities.
