 Janta College Bakewar has established in 1959 with the aim of  wide-offering programmes  with educational faculties.  Janta College Bakewar is situated in Bakewar town on National Highway-2 and 23 km east away  from district headquarter Etawah. It is located 11 km in the south from Bharthana Railway Station. It is away from the crowd of the cast-religion based conflicts and this college is a pioneer in colleges located in rural regions, so the college for higher education is a successful application in Indias first developed Block- Mahewa (Etawah) in rural areas.

History

        Bakewar city respected, liberal and enlightened national Late Mr. Devendra Mani Divedi the 25000 / - only institution started by the initial donation. Enthusiastic participation of people as the public school Junior high school since 1952 began July 1. Ninth of the class began July 1, 1952. The classes start from July 1, 1954 Intermediate. The institution of the arts, sciences, agriculture, commerce and business and about 2500 students in classes that provide quality wise education is complete.

          Agra University (currently, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra) Affiliation courtesy of the science class in July 1959 after getting in mathematics, physics and chemical subjects B. Sc. (First year) with the classes of Janta College Bakewar launched. Kanpur University July 1967, the college (now Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur) is associated with.
