Cane Grower’s Nehru Post Graduate College was established in the remembrance of our first Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru in July 1968 by the Co-Operative Cane Society of Gola.Initially the college had limited resources of educating people in this rural area but with the joint efforts of committee members today it has its own building with good infrastructure, well equipped class rooms, labs, rich library and a huge ground for sports.

The college is affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahu ji Maharaj University, Kanpur and is well known for imparting high-quality education, developing life skills and transparency in examinations. There are approximately 3000 students from various disciplines. The college offers Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in the field of Arts, Humanities and Social Science.

Various Diploma and Degree Programs, Certificate courses are offered under distant learning mode of Indira Gandhi National Open University and Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tondon Open University. Remedial sessions and regular consultation classes are also held for the learners of distant mode.

Keeping in mind the growth of physical skills, we offer excellent training of indoor and outdoor sports. Such as Chess, Table Tennis, Badminton, Cricket & Hockey. The college has credit of organizing Inter Collegiate Women Hockey Tournament. .
