The central government is working to revolutionize the higher education system and make the country one of the premier centers of education in the world. The attempt of revolutionizing higher education in the country is most welcome. In last one decade University Grants Commission has come up with the ides of introducing vocational education or career oriented programme in different universities and colleges by providing generous funding.

The idea became instantly popular among the students disillusioned with the dwindling opportunities in job market available to them after completion of regular graduate and posts graduate courses in general colleges of India. We have to focus our attention on large number of students in higher education who are studying in general colleges of India. They belong to commerce, Arts and Science streams as well as Business studies. Serious efforts have to be made to introduce vocational career oriented courses in general colleges to produce qualified and competent human resources available to the world.

In these circumstances the colleges are being encouraged by UGC and the affiliating universities to introduce vocational courses, Remedial coaching, entry and services for OBC/EBC/Monitories and different streams of students. R.S.S. Science College is ready to make use of this encouragement and has introduced several vocational and career oriented courses.
